We were guests of Siemens at Pomini Tenova’s Castellanza site for a vertical event held simultaneously across four different locations and focused on the evolution of production systems.
At the centre of the discussion was the transition from the automated factory to the autonomous factory: a shift that is not only about introducing new technologies, but also about enabling plants to read data, interpret what is happening and adapt to real process conditions.
The interaction between the physical plant and its digital twin, combined with real-time data analysis, opens up new opportunities to improve efficiency, operational continuity and competitiveness.
The common thread throughout the event was, of course, artificial intelligence, presented not as an abstract concept but as a practical technology that can already be applied in industrial environments and support the transition towards increasingly autonomous, adaptive and agentic production models.
A highly relevant and technical discussion that clearly showed what can be achieved when automation, data and AI truly begin to work together.
